About

Hard Working Records is a record label founded Dirk Hemsath, Rich Egan, David Conway and Mike Bactha. Both Dirk Hemsath and Rich Egan were founders of two highly influential independent record labels, Doghouse Records and Vagrant Records respectively.  David Conway started working at Doghouse Records in 2002 as in intern and became its head of A&R along with co founding Working Group Management.  Mike Bachta joined the management company over ten years ago as well.  Hemsath’s Doghouse Records has released over 150 records since 1988 including emo stalwarts The Get Up Kids, Say Anything and multi Platinum pop rockers The All-American Rejects.   Egan’s Vagrant was one of the most successful independent labels of the early 2000’s with artists Dashboard Confessional, Paul Westerberg, Edward Sharpe and the 1975.  This new label combines those experiences along with the success the parties have had on the management side, discovering and developing such super stars as Mac Miller, Billie Eilish, Morgan Wallen, Brantley Gilbert, and Tate McRae.
